The Three Pillars of Trust

Defining Trust

According to Webster, trust is defined as the firm belief in the reliability, truth, or strength of someone. Do you believe in the reliability, truth and strength of God? There is not one person in the world who you can trust more than God. Humans fail us. Even our closest family members and friends. But God never fails. His Word says so. Let's look at the 3 Pillars of Trusting God.

The first step in connecting with God is salvation. Inviting God into your life by asking forgiveness and laying down your old way of living to live a new life in Christ. Some folks think they should wait until they have their act together. This is a myth. God asks us to come to Him just as we are. He will help us to know what things need to go from our lives and this is a process. Some folks are afraid of giving up their lifestyle because they are afraid the Christian life will be too confining. The truth is that the closer we get to God, the more truly free we become. Connecting with God on a deep level will be the most rewarding thing you ever do.

When we make a commitment to God, we are saying I dedicate my life to you! We express faithfulness in God's plan and will for our life. We are willing to make changes as God opens our eyes to ways of being more intimate with Him. When you experience God's answer to your prayer, it builds your faith. God wants us to trust Him completely. When we are fully committed to God, He can work in our lives to accomplish great things!

The more we trust God, the more pleased He is with us. God sees our consistency in prayer and studying His Word. When we receive a touch from God and feel His presence in a real way, it makes us want to be more consistent in our relationship with Him. The goal is intimacy and knowing God through a personal relationship with Him. We also want to be consistent in our faith. Even when God has us wait for answers or things don't go the way we want, demonstrating trust and faith in God is key. You will never be the same. Believe that God has your best interests at heart. Believe that your dreams will come true. Believe in the God that created you and will love you forever.
