Invite God into Your Circumstances
Sometimes we struggle with worry and distress. We can’t relax in God’s grace when we are navigating stress. Worrying is meditating on everything you don’t want. So how do you relieve yourself of these feelings? You invite God into your circumstances. How does God heal us of our feeling of inadequacies? With our consent. You’ve got to invite him in. The Word says we have not because we ask not. God will deliver us if we invite Him in God knows what’s going on in your life. Every bit of it. He longs to comfort you, heal you, equip you and enlighten you! We read in Psalm 144:2, "He is MY loving God and MY Fortress, MY Stronghold and MY Deliverer, MY Shield, in Whom I take refuge!” What more can we possibly ask for? He's waiting for you to ask. Invite Him in.
Don't Look in the Rear View Mirror.
Sometimes we can't relax in God's grace because we are dwelling on the past. We don't need to look in the rear view... We are not going that way! But many times we are still beating ourselves up over our perceived inadequacies or mistakes from the past. Isaiah 43:18 tells us, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.” The enemy knows what our sore spots are from the past and he specializes in bringing them to our minds. The key to remember is you are forgiven by God’s grace for everything you ever did. God does not remember your sins anymore. Do not let the enemy trick you into dwelling on the past. Don't dig up in doubt, what you planted in faith. “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.” ~ 2 Corinthians 9:8
Lean in to God in All Things.
If you are leaning on yourself or other people, you are not in the position you need to be in to receive God’s best for your life. Leaning in to God means depending on and moving closer to your Heavenly Father. Don’t trust in other things. Trust in God. Proverbs 3:5 tells us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.
When we lean into God, we depend on ourselves less, and God more. This helps us to want to be more like Jesus. Kind, Loving, Forgiving, and Accepting. These are all things we can do everyday to draw closer to God. And then there’s His divine GRACE. His gift to us. We read a beautiful scripture in ~ Psalm 84:11, "For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.” No good thing He will withhold from you! The desires of your heart will become true! Let it be so in the name of Jesus Christ. I love this scripture. "Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ the Father’s Son, in truth and love.” ~ 2 John 1:3. ~ Be Blessed, Girlfriends!
“May our Lord Jesus Christ, Himself, and God our Father, who loved
us and gave us eternal comfort, give hope through grace.
