Tapping Into God's Contentment

Tell God Your Feelings and Concerns.

Right now, in a time I have not seen in my lifetime, we are filled to over-flowing with emotions. Get out everything you are feeling to God. God longs to hear from us and waits eagerly to listen to how you feel. God cares about every emotion. Sometimes we don’t pray for ourselves. It’s a necessity to pray for yourself that God may give you wisdom. Psalm 34:17 says, “When the righteous call for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all of their troubles.” This is a promise from God. He will deliver His people! Prayer brings you peace in your spirit in a comforting, supernatural way! God already knows you’re nervous, scared, confused, and worried. Let Him help you through this pandemic with His mighty power!

Appreciate All You Have.

In these unexpected times of chaos, it’s more important than ever to focus on what we do have vs. what we don’t have. 1 Thessalonians 5:13 tells us, "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” God inhabits the praises of His people which means God is as close as your breath. Thank Him for every little thing that is going right. In fact, seek out what is good in the midst of all of this. Find as many things as you can think of to be grateful for today. Write a list of those things and call them out to God in thanks of His blessings.

Plan Your Future Dreams.

Make use of any free time to work on your dreams. You know that idea that has been in the back of your mind? Do some research on it. God says He will give us the desires of our hearts if we seek first His kingdom. Use some of this down time to work on something fun you’ve been dreaming about. John 16:24 say, "Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” What brings you joy? Crafts, reading, soaking in the bath? Do more of that. Carve out some, “Self-Care,” during this time. It’s going to be okay. But YOU need to be okay so you can serve your family and others. Use whatever spare time you can to work on you and plan for the future.

"And we know that for those who love God all things

work together for good, for those who are called according

to his purpose." ~ Roman's 8:28
